We came here again today after a long time and loved it. Although it was quite busy, the service was friendly and quick. Given the circumstances, we expected a much longer wait, but it was really fast. And the cakes were delicious. We've rarely had a better rhubarb meringue cake. Absolutely delicious. A real surprise, and in the best possible way.

I'm so glad we have this cozy, classic café in Kandel where you can have breakfast, a light lunch, a delicious salad, or enjoy absolutely superb cakes and pastries with a good cup of coffee. And all this in a friendly atmosphere with attentive service. Of course, you can also buy cakes to take home. But you should hurry, because they're usually gone by the afternoon – they're that delicious!

A small, charming café with a sensational selection of cakes. The café consists of two sections with a covered passageway in the middle. It's generally a bit cramped, and the decor is very traditional. Despite the rather older target audience (😉), we were very welcome with our baby and stroller. The service was also very friendly. A great tip for a meeting over coffee and cake 🍰

Delicious homemade cake (rhubarb cake just like Grandma used to make), I could have liked a bit more – but I'll still gladly come back. Very friendly staff.

A lovely little café with homemade cakes and friendly service. The COVID-19 regulations are implemented perfectly here. In summer, the outdoor seating is very pleasant.

We are Australians travelling and we had break from driving here in Kandel and found this little cafe. The ladies who run it are so friendly and they have made it very cosy and beautiful. We were lucky as the sun was shining so we sat in the courtyard. They have decorated the courtyard and the tables with lots of flowers and plants and colourful items. Apart from all that, we had coffee and cake, and we fought the cakes were wonderful. Beautiful flavours and not overly sweet. Prices were very reasonable. Quality of food top notch. Portions were generous. Cannot ask for more. The ladies were very busy. We had to wait ten minutes for a table. But table service was very prompt and efficient. Well done to the ladies running Cafe Schaaf. We are happy to have spent time here.
